Quarter-Final — IEM Cologne Major 2026
Overpass — Spirit in control
Spirit opened on Overpass and looked composed from the start. G2 had their moments — HeavyGod was active early and caused problems in the CT setup — but Spirit's defensive adjustments and some well-timed force-buys swung the momentum. donk was already carving out his space in the server. Spirit took it 13-9 and put themselves in the driver's seat.
Dust2 — overtime and donk's clutch
G2 had no intention of going quietly. Dust2 was a back-and-forth battle that spilled into overtime, with huNter- pulling off multiple clutch rounds — including an 8-health win that had the LANXESS arena on its feet. But donk had the final say. A 1v2 clutch sealed the map for Spirit 16-14, and it felt for a moment like the series might be over.
Mirage — four overtimes and a 1v4 for the ages
Then came Mirage. MATYS came out of nowhere and dominated the first half with 17 kills — G2 looked reborn. Spirit clawed back and forced regulation. Then overtime. Then another. Then another. Four overtime periods on Mirage, with both teams trading blows and neither willing to break. In the middle of it all, magixx pulled off a 1v4 spray-down that had everybody — viewers, casters, players — completely losing their minds.
Spirit survived it 25-22. donk finished the series with 81 kills and a 1.32 rating. sh1ro was solid throughout. And G2, despite one of the most incredible individual performances from MATYS this tournament has seen, are out.
Spirit are in the semi-finals. And if this match is anything to go by, whoever faces them next should be very, very nervous.
