Falcons survive two overtime maps to knock out Spirit 2-1 and book their place in the IEM Cologne Major 2026 Grand Final against FURIA.
Falcons are going to the Grand Final. They beat Team Spirit 2-1 in the second semi-final of IEM Cologne Major 2026, grinding through two overtime maps in a performance that showed exactly why they belong here. Tomorrow, they face FURIA for the Major title.
Semi-Final — IEM Cologne Major 2026
Falcons took map one on Anubis 16-14 in overtime, with m0NESY and kyousuke both recording triple kills on their own map pick. Spirit responded on Mirage with a dominant 13-8 to level the series. Then came Dust2 — another overtime, another Falcons win, this time 16-12. TeSeS clutched a 1v2 in the second half to help seal it.
NiKo led Falcons with a 1.26 rating across the series. sh1ro was the standout for Spirit at 1.24, but it was not enough. karrigan said it best after the match: "When under highest pressure, we can withstand it. It feels natural to be in these games."
